How to read a chemical glove rating

Chemical resistance is published by the manufacturer per chemical as breakthrough time (minutes until the chemical is detected on the inside) and degradation. ASTM F739 is the US permeation test; EN 374 is the European mark, with letter codes for the chemicals tested and a Type A, B or C level. Thickness is given in mil (thousandths of an inch) and length in inches.

Ratings and specifications on this page are shown as published by the manufacturer or the named standard and describe performance in that standard's test. They are not a recommendation for any task. The employer's hazard assessment decides what protective equipment a job needs. Verify details against the manufacturer's current documentation before you buy.
