Beyond the colorway, Heat Wave has worked with Hoonigan on a handful of projects over the years, but getting the call to be part of the newest Gymkhana felt different. Gymkhana isn’t just a video series. It’s one of the most iconic, era-defining pieces of automotive culture. It shaped us creatively, influenced our brand, and set the tone for what it means to go big, take risks, and build with attitude. Getting to put our stamp on such a project with legends as Pastrana and the Hoonigan crew is something we’ll never take lightly. Being able to stand alongside them and contribute to a Gymkhana will forever be one of those “damn, we really did that” moments. Boasting the same great features as the standard Vise®, The XL version is the first pair of (you guessed it) EXTRA-LARGE Heat Wave frames specifically designed for the ones with larger than average heads. We took the time-tested design of the Vise® and added an extra 10mm in width and jacked up the ride height to 5mm to provide Godzilla-like, larger than life comfort and coverage. Lens Technology: 1.9mm thick Polycarbonate lens that meets or exceeds impact requirements for Z80.3 standards, injection molded to the highest standards and tested to ensure optimal clarity, along with color and light transmission standards.
