Description
The Draeger 6400000 is the accuro tube pump with tube opener: a manually operated bellows pump for Draeger short-term detector tubes, single-handed, 100 mL (± 5 %) per stroke, 1 to 50 strokes and higher, approx. 250 g, no power supply (handbook pp. 29–30 and 92). Ships in 1–2 business days; most orders arrive in 3–7 business days. It reads all Draeger tubes; kits with a case or bag are on the accuro pump kits page.

How it works (handbook pp. 29–30): during measurement the bellows are pressed together completely, which equals one stroke; the air in the pump chamber escapes through the exhaust valve, and when the bellows are released the suction runs automatically, with the exhaust valve closed so the gas sample flows through the connected Dräger-Tube into the pump chamber. A scissor mechanism in the bellows ensures parallel compression.
Draeger 6400000 questions
How much air does the accuro draw per stroke? 100 mL (± 5 %) per full stroke; the bellows are pressed together completely for one stroke and the suction runs automatically when released (handbook pp. 29–30).
Does the accuro need batteries or power? No. The handbook lists power supply as not required; it is independent of external energy sources, so there are no usage restrictions in explosion-hazard areas (handbook p. 30).
How do I know a stroke is complete? A pressure-controlled end-of-stroke indicator in the pump head shows the end of the stroke (handbook p. 30).
Which tubes does the accuro read? Draeger short-term detector tubes. The handbook (pp. 28–29) states that Draeger tubes and Draeger pumps are matched at the factory and form a single unit; other makers' tubes or pumps can impair the measurement.
What should be done before and after each measurement? A check for leaks and suction capacity before every measurement, and a few empty strokes without a tube after measurement to purge reaction products from the bellows (handbook p. 34).
What are the accuro kit part numbers? accuro with tube opener 6400000; accuro set 6400260; soft-side kit 8317186; MDG kit 8318392; spare parts set 6400220 (handbook p. 92).
