Which fabric for which job
The manufacturer groups its fabrics by what they are tested against: dry particles and light splash (MicroGuard MP, ValuGuard MP, SMS, polypropylene), chemical splash with published penetration and permeation tables (ChemSplash 1, ChemSplash 2, PyroGuard CRFR), blood and body fluids tested to ASTM F1670 and F1671 (ViroGuard, ViroGuard 2), a disposable layer over primary FR clothing (PyroGuard FR, PyroGuard CRFR), particulate filtration (Body Filter 95+), and clean-processed or sterile garments for controlled environments (MicroGuard CE, GammaGuard CE). The disposable garment selector walks hazard to fabric to style to size across every brand we carry, and the guides cover the OSHA and standards questions.
