Dräger PARAT Escape Hoods questions
What is the difference between the PARAT industrial and fire hoods? Per Dräger's product pages: the industrial hoods (PARAT 4700/4900) protect against toxic industrial gases, vapors and particles; the fire hoods (PARAT 5500 series) protect against toxic fire-related gases, vapors and particles; the PARAT 7500 combines both. Each is rated for at least 15 minutes of escape time.
How long does a PARAT escape hood last in storage? Dräger's product data for the PARAT 4730 and 5500 series states a 16 year service life with the filter replaced after 8 years; the Hard Case and Soft Pack have a viewing window for checking the filter expiry date.
What is the ER2000CBRN? A North CBRN escape hood (NIOSH CAP 2, minimum 30 minutes escape); see its page for the data sheet facts.
