3M Adflo Welding PAPR questions
What filters does the Adflo take? 15-0299-99 HE particulate filter (sold as X02, X20 and X80 packs), 15-0499-99 OV/AG cartridge (X02, X06), 15-0009-99 spark arrestor, 15-0099-99 pre-filter and the nuisance odor pads (3M Adflo data sheet; Cartridge and Filter Summary).
Can the OV/AG cartridge be used alone? No: 3M states the OV/AG cartridge and nuisance odor pad assembly must always be used with the HE filter, pre-filter and spark arrestor (Adflo data sheet).
How long does the battery run? 10 to 12 hours with the HE filter only, 5.5 hours with the OV/AG cartridge, 500 charges (Adflo user instructions).
Can the Adflo be used in flammable atmospheres? No: the 3M Adflo data sheet states it must not be used in flammable or explosive environments, nor in oxygen-deficient, unknown or IDLH atmospheres.
What is the APF? 3M refers to the headtop data sheets: 9100 MP 25 (3M brochure), G5-01 and G5-03 25, or 1,000 with the 46-1000-00 kit (user instructions and data sheet).
What are the altitude limits? Between 5,000 and 10,000 feet above sea level 3M states the Adflo is used only with the HE filter (data sheet).
