3M Speedglas G5-01 and G5-03 Pro Air Welding Helmets questions
What is the difference between the G5-01 and the G5-03? The G5-01 is the heavy-duty helmet (975 g, or 1,000 g with the VC filter; shades 5, 8 to 13); the G5-03 Pro Air is lighter (530 g excluding headband and filter) with a 5 year expected service life, ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2020 and CSA Z94.3-2020 (3M user instructions and technical data sheet).
What is the APF of the G5 helmets? 3M: 25 as a loose-fitting headtop, or 1,000 with the 46-1000-00 1000APF kit (large neck shroud and fabric head cover) and an approved air source (G5-01 user instructions; G5-03 technical data sheet).
