Cross-sensitivity (handbook, p. 188): 1,1-dimethylhydrazine and monomethylhydrazine are indicated with the same sensitivity (standard deviation ± 50 %). 5 ppm ammonia with 100 strokes gives a reading of approx. 0.01 ppm hydrazine. With 5 strokes, ammonia is not indicated, even at high concentrations. *The number of strokes for the small measuring range of the tube is normally n = 100. Due to manufacturing constraints, the number of strokes for the most sensitive measuring range can be max. 150 strokes. Please note the information on the number of strokes on the tubes.

Draeger 8103351 questions
What does the Draeger 8103351 measure? Hydrazine in air, measuring range 0.01 to 0.4 ppm / 0.5 to 6 ppm.
How many pump strokes does the 8103351 take? see tube /5 strokes (n) per the handbook, p. 188. Measuring time approx. 20 to 30 min / approx. 1 min.
Which pump does the 8103351 use? A Draeger tube pump: the accuro hand pump or the X-act 5000. Per the handbook (p. 28–29), Draeger short-term tubes and Draeger tube pumps are matched at the factory and form a single unit; using other pumps with Draeger tubes, or other tubes with Draeger pumps, can impair the measurement.
What is the color change on the 8103351? light gray (white) → brown-gray, read against the scale printed on the tube.
Do Draeger 8103351 tubes expire? Yes. Draeger prints an expiration date (month and year) on the package; the handbook states a typical shelf life for the customer of up to two years, stored sealed at the temperature on the package strip (handbook section 2.13).
How many tubes are in a box of 8103351? 10. Each tube is used once.
