Fire Extinguishers for Control Rooms, Labs and Clean Rooms questions
Which extinguisher for a control room with PLC cabinets? A Class C-listed type, not dry chemical, where delicate electronic equipment is protected (NFPA 10 (2026) 5.5.4.6), sized on the room's Class A or B hazard (6.4.3).
Does a lab need a Class B unit as well? Where flammable liquids are present, 6.3 and Table 6.3.1.1 set the Class B rating and travel distance; a 2A:10B:C unit covers light Class B within 30 ft.
