Cross-sensitivity (handbook, p. 133): Toluene, xylene, and ethylbenzene are retained in the pre-layer up to a concentration of approx. 40 ppm with 5 strokes and 200 ppm with 1 stroke, where they cause a brown discoloration. 800 ppm n-octane with 5 strokes and 4000 ppm with 1 stroke do not discolor the indicating layer.

Draeger 8103691 questions
What does the Draeger 8103691 measure? Benzene in air, measuring range 0.25 to 2 ppm / 2 to 10 ppm.
How many pump strokes does the 8103691 take? 5 /1 strokes (n) per the handbook, p. 133. Measuring time approx. 5 min / approx. 1 min.
Which pump does the 8103691 use? A Draeger tube pump: the accuro hand pump or the X-act 5000. Per the handbook (p. 28–29), Draeger short-term tubes and Draeger tube pumps are matched at the factory and form a single unit; using other pumps with Draeger tubes, or other tubes with Draeger pumps, can impair the measurement.
What is the color change on the 8103691? light gray → dark gray, read against the scale printed on the tube.
Do Draeger 8103691 tubes expire? Yes. Draeger prints an expiration date (month and year) on the package; the handbook states a typical shelf life for the customer of up to two years, stored sealed at the temperature on the package strip (handbook section 2.13).
How many tubes are in a box of 8103691? 10. Each tube is used once.
